In a good news for the youth who are looking for a job and are hoping to join the railways, the North Western Railway (NWR) has invited applications for 898 Apprentice posts. Bikaner, Ajmer, Jaipur and Jodhpur railway divisions are included in this recruitment process. All interested candidates have the opportunity to apply online from October 3, 2025 to November 2, 2025.
No written test: Merit-based selection
There is no written test in this recruitment process. This is a big advantage for the candidates. Instead, the candidates will be selected through a merit list prepared based on the marks obtained in their 10th class and ITI (Industrial Training Institute). If two candidates have equal marks, preference will be given to the candidate who is older than them.
Eligibility and Age Limit: These criteria must be met
The basic eligibility criteria for applying for these posts are as follows:
Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed 10th class with at least 50% marks. In addition, he must have a National Trade Certificate recognized by NCVT or SCVT in the trade branch for which he is applying.
Age Limit: The maximum age limit for general category candidates is 24 years. There is a relaxation in this limit according to the reserved categories: 5 years for SC/ST category, 3 years for OBC category and 10 years for disabled candidates.

General and OBC category candidates have to pay Rs. 100 as application fee. SC, ST category, women and disabled candidates are completely exempted from the application fee.
